Umbrella Organisation: A Game Changer for the Cooperative Banking Sector

We have a history that dates back for more than a century, we have faced numerous hurdles, challenges, and setbacks during this period, but we always managed to overcome the challenges and emerged stronger than before. The present age is a digital age; those who adapt to the change will survive. The same fact applies to the banking sector.

Looking at the current scenario, we can conclude that the fit organizations will survive and those who are not fit will perish. The same notion applies to the banking sector. Several questions have arisen ever since the Reserve Bank brought the cooperative banks under the Banking Regulatory Act. Where are we standing today? What will be our future? What is the state of our condition today? We need to seek answers to several such questions. A program was arranged by Nafcub in New Delhi, where the Central Home Minister Amit Shah felicitated around 195 cooperative banks that had completed 100 years of service.

The very first cooperative society named Ananya Sahakari Mandri began in 1889 in Gujarat.
