Polymer Notes : A New Era in the Indian Currency System?

Ordinary currency notes are made from a mixture of cotton and paper. In contrast, polymer notes made from plastic have transparent security windows, holograms, micro-lettering, and advanced security features. Therefore, they are difficult to counterfeit or recreate more clean version. Environmentally, they are recyclable, and the cost of reprinting is lower. Today, more than 60 countries around the world use polymer notes fully or partially.
